Lymphatic Drainage uses Dr. Voeder’s very gentle technique for improving and promoting the flow of lymphatic fluid, carrying toxins and erudites towards nodes and ducts to eventually evacuate the body (primarily through the urinary tract).  The lymphatic system is an essential, natural system of the body for eliminating external toxins (environmental, petrochemicals, pesticides, etc.) and internal metabolic waste (created by injury and illness).  This method also greatly reduces any inflammation.  Perfect for post liposuction and injury care. Myofascial Release addresses the connective tissue layer (just below the skin), also known as “fascia,” that surrounds all other tissues in the body (almost like a dense layer of plastic wrap).  This layer is impacted by injury and can become “sticky” and less elastic, creating pain and/or reduced movement.  As it is continuous, it can create and “refer” pain and pressure elsewhere in the body.  This massage technique literally “unwinds” and “unglues” the tissue to restore it to a healthy elastic condition. If it is not addressed, painful muscle conditions and injuries sometimes are unable to fully recover. Specifically beneficial for conditions such as frozen shoulder and plantar fasciitis.

Deep Tissue Massage work addresses dense (sometimes painful) fibrous tissue that replaces healthy muscle fibers when they become ischemic (reduced or lost blood supply). This can occur from old injuries, repetitive use, over-use, and prolonged immobilization (postural and injury related). It also refers to working on the deeper and inner layer musculature that is sometimes unaddressed. The deeper muscles can cause extreme discomfort and be the source of trouble. As they work together with other muscles for movement and body function, they can not be ignored.  Hawaii Mobile Massage is greatly experienced in deep tissue bodywork.

Thai Massage is a relaxing, therapeutic method using dynamic stretching and pressure point work.  Thai people refer it as “lazy man’s yoga” because the client is expertly and passively stretched into Thai Yoga positions.  Simultaneously, the involved muscles are addressed.  The resulting increased flexibility improves range of motion and better muscle function.  Thai Massage superbly addresses circulation and organ function.  This massage style promotes greater health and contributes to the client’s longevity.
